Job Description

This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience managing all phases of general building and site construction. Background in Institutional, Health Care, Airport, large Commercial or military/ US Army Corp of Engineers projects in excess of $15 million dollars. Individual must be a team player with a proven track record on similar projects of scope and size with an emphasis on quality, budget and profitability, safety, subcontractor relationships and labor management within the parameters of CP scheduling and cost loading.  Essential Functions:

• Ensure assigned project(s) are kept on schedule and within budget while meeting client needs and delivering a quality project.

• Identify potential issues and ensure timely decisions are made.

• Plan, schedule and coordinate in-house and consultant building construction projects from inception to completion.

• Draw up schedules and plans of operation for building construction projects in close consultation with architects, client agencies, and other representatives.

• Ensure proper document control and record keeping.

• Work closely with Management team including onsite-superintendent(s)/quality/ safety personnel to facilitate project construction process. • Revise and monitor cost estimates and schedules.

• Ensure accuracy in estimates, accounting and billings and facilitate monthly owner billings.

• Minimum of five (5) years of successful project management experience on project(s) of similar size and scope.

• BS in construction management or engineering preferred.

• Must be experienced with construction projects for new construction and renovations in design/bid/build projects including Federal projects.

• OSHA 30-hour construction safety training, minimum requirement.

• On many of our projects, we utilize the guidelines of the USACE Quality Control; Certificate helpful.

• Must possess the ability to handle multiple activities.

• Ability to create and track all project logs (various software management programs).

• Read plans and comprehend scope of projects assigned.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications and public contract requirements.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, subcontracts and client.

• Proficiency in use of a personal computer and software programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of construction software must be specified in your resume.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

• Prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports.

• Ability to read, interpret and utilize Primavera P6 scheduling software and management tools working with dedicated scheduler.
